Centre for Inclusive Education Received Project of the Year 2016 Award

Tulip Foundation bestowed on April 12, 2017 at literature club Peroto its annual awards “Project of the Year” for twelfth time. Three equal prizes were given.

Centre for Inclusive Education was awarded for Phase 1 of One School for All Programme, executed in partnership with five schools and the support of America for Bulgaria Foundation.

Karin Dom Foundation received award for its Support Family project aiming at quality services of early intervention for families with children with special needs and difficulties all over the country and increasing parental capacity to build better opportunities for socialization of the child in the future.

The "Labour Practice-Training in Labour and Social Skills of Young People with Intellectual Disabilities" project of Maria’s World Foundation was the third to receive the most votes from the jury. It aims to support people with intellectual disabilities in active age to develop diverse employment and social skills and to overcome their concerns about participation in different social situations.

This year Tulip Foundation also announced a special prize. It was bestowed on Ronald van der Gishen, director of Oranier Funds for multi-year partnership and friendship. The members of the Board of the Foundation congratulated him and assured him that the mission of the organization was in good hands.

One School for All is our most encompassing and wide-reaching cause, our raison d’etre. Our ultimate goal is comprehensive introduction and application of the principles of inclusive education.

Inclusive education is a process of changing the school environment based on respect and acceptance of other people. It implies wise management of school processes in a way which makes children feel supported to develop their capacity and to overcome hardships; which makes teachers feel encouraged and confident that they are able to cope with the growing challenges, while parents are able to assume their responsibility and role in partnership with schools.
